Uisce Éireann Water Stewardship Programme.

Supports business customers with training on how to lower water consumption and reduce operating costs while also protecting the environment. Over 600 businesses have engaged in the programme since commencement. Of these 15 sites have received international certifications on foot of the supports.

Programme offers a more flexible approach to learning with an adopted design, development and delivery mechanism that supports SME engagement with the topic of water stewardship via a mix of content, online webinars and offline tutor support.

Aims to foster water resilience and sustainability among businesses in Ireland, with a particular focus on the Greater Dublin Area (GDA). Water scarcity poses a significant challenge to industries across Ireland, especially in vulnerable catchments and water-stressed regions. The programme includes a funded on-site water risk and planning workshop, equipping eligible businesses with the tools and resources to assess water usage, identify risks, develop actionable response plans, learn about ESG reporting requirements and point to funding supports available.

In partnership with the HSE identifies Water Stewardship actions and initiatives requiring strategic planning and investment for the HSE and Uisce Éireann. Through participation in this programme, hospitals can develop actions to mitigate against critical water risks and enhance their water resilience while continuing to provide safe and effective patient care.

Our large water-user user Community of Practice provides graduates of our programmes with the opportunity to engage deeper through peer-to-peer learning. They provide a platform for organisations to address the most pressing challenges of today and develop industry-leading practice guidelines and innovative toolkits that address these challenges. Our Water Stewardship Ireland Community of Practice has grown to over 400+ members representing some of the largest production and service facilities in the country.
